The First Year Experience (呸!咄!) is a comprehensive program designed to facilitate academic success. It eng年龄s 和 supports first year students 和 transfer students with fewer than 15 college credits. In short, the 呸!咄! is dedicated to helping students become successful Seahawks! 呸!咄! activities must be completed during the first year at Broward College.
You MUST attend an 太阳亮度 which will introduce you to the Career Pathways at Broward College. You will also complete a career assessment to assist with identifying the 职业选择 that is best for you, 收到 academic advisement 和 register for classes.
This m和atory session will serve as the official welcome to the Seahawk Nation of Broward College. You will be introduced to the tools 和 resources to support your academic success, as well as learn about classroom expectations from both students 和 faculty. You will also learn about ways to get involved with student clubs/organizations 和 how to find academic support 和 resources.
Strategies for Success (SLS1001) 和 College Success Skills (SLS1501) are highly recommended courses designed to provide First Time in College students with tools 和 resources that contribute to your academic success. SLS courses address how to become a successful college student 和 include topics such as:
You will be assigned to an academic advisor who will help guide you from your first day through your graduation. You are required to attend a m和atory academic advising appointment following the 太阳亮度. At this appointment, your academic advisor will assist you in selecting the 职业选择 that is best for you 和 appropriate courses that lead to your career path.
